DIANA KRALL NAMED ONE OF PEOPLE MAGAZINE'S 25 MOST INTRIGUING PEOPLE OF 2001

GRAMMY®-winning vocalist featured in year-end issue; will tour U. S. in
March

Diana Krall has been named one of People Magazine's 25 Most Intriguing People of 2001 in the year-end issue which will be on newsstands Monday, December 24th, 2001. The vocalist, whose new album, The Look of Love (VerveRecords) debuted in the Top 10 on Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart, was chosen along with such with such notables as Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Madonna,Barry Bonds, and Nicole Kidman.

This is just another great achievement for the vocalist/pianist. Krall has been climbing the charts and making headlines since she earned her first GRAMMY® nomination for her 1996 Nat "King" Cole tribute album All For You. That album was just certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association ofAmerica.

Her follow-up smash Love Scenes reached airwaves across the country with the crossover hit "Peel Me A Grape." With her 1999 release When I Look In Your Eyes, Krall became the first jazz artist in 25 years to be nominated for a GRAMMY® in the Album of the Year category, among such pop stars as Santana and TLC. The album took home a GRAMMY® for Best Jazz Vocal Performance, and Diana Krall was introduced to a new audience.

Krall and her music have been featured in a number of major motion pictures and on several TV shows. Celebrities from Harrison Ford and Sarah Jessica Parker to Elton John and Sting continue to declare their admiration for her music.

This year Krall wrote and recorded her first original tune, "Charmed Life," which fans will hear live during The Look of Love tour, which kicks off in the U.S. on March 9th, 2002. The tour will come to 35 cities, with stops at New York City's Radio City Music Hall and Los Angeles' Universal Ampitheater, along the way. A full list of Krall's tour dates is available at www.ultimatedianakrall.com.

The Look of Love debuted at #9 on Billboard's Top 200 chart and has held strong since its release in September, 2001. The album has already been certified Gold.
