1. Sign up for Jazzitude Distribution online. You will pay a one-time
fee of $40 to establish your account and set up a webpage for your
label or CD. This fee covers the administrative costs of setting up
your account and will never need to be paid again.
2. Once your account is established and you receive your acknowledgement
email, send us 5 (five) copies of your CD along with a consignment
invoice. We will sell your CDs on a consignment basis, meaning that
you are paid for the CDs as they sell. We will acknowledge receipt
of your CDs via email.
3. For each CD sold, Jazzitude retains $5. The rest is posted to your
account and paid to you monthly (via Paypal) or every other month
(via check). We will provide you with sales information monthly, but
if you want to know what your inventory is at any given time, just
email.
4. Jazzitude will return any unsold copies of your CD to you at any
time at your request.
5. Your CD or label will be part of our online Jazzitude Distribution
store with its own page that provides artist info, links to your website,
reviews, soundclips, etc.
6. Your CD or label will be mentioned in our email newsletter and
advertised on the Jazzitude CD Store page.
7. Your label/CD will be eligible for future promotions that may include
catalogs of Jazzitude Distribution artists, advertising, and sales
at jazz fests, street festivals, professional meetings (for example,
IAJE) and other promotions as they become available.
8. In return, we also ask that you provide a link to Jazzitude on
your artist/label website if you are not already doing so.
9. There is no exclusive clause, no contract. You are free to leave
the program at any time, and you can continue to market your CDs or
distribute them through any other arrangements or agreements that
you like.
